History and Philosophy of Science

My office (300) is on the third floor of the mathematics building,
and I wish people would knock!		 Today's physics is tomorrow's history

 My interests can be summed up in the following way: consider the set containing the three elements history, philosophy and physics. My interests are all possible permutations of two randomly-chosen elements of this set.

Besides doing research myself, I am the managing editor for an international, peer-reviewed journal devoted to the conceptual bases and fundamental theories of modern physics, Foundations of Physics.

On average we receive four new manuscripts each day, from all over the world. After a preliminary scan, I decide whether or not it is worthwile to send a submission on to potential referees.

The Chief Editor for this journal is the nobel laureate Prof. Dr. Gerard 't Hooft
An obscure piece of rock, whizzing somewhere in between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, was named in his honour. 't Hooft has written a constitution for its inhabitants.
